The Institute of Leadership, Manpower and Management Development, United Kingdom, has honoured an outstanding Physicist and a senior lecturer in the Department of Physics, Lagos State University, Ojo, Dr. Olujimi Adejo.
The Imota born scholar was conferred with the highest award of the institute alongside Ondo State Special Adviser on Energy and other eminent Nigerians, with a Doctoral Fellow at an induction ceremony held at Best Western Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos on Saturday, 19th October, 2024.
In a statement signed by Comr. Odufesi Temitope Rukayat, President, Imota Students Union (ISU), she described the honoree as a mentor to students in Imota, and has inspired many with his knowledge.
“As the President of Imota Students’ Union Comr. Odufesi Temitope Rukayat, I seize this moment to congratulate, one of our academic mentor, father and community leader on his award in the field of physics
“It is a great honor to stand before you today as President of the Imota Students’ Union, to celebrate one of our own, Dr. Adejo Olujimi, a remarkable man, esteemed philanthropist, and dedicated community lecturer who has brought great pride to Imota and beyond with his recent achievement in the field of physics.
“His dedication to science, his relentless pursuit of knowledge, and his commitment to using his gifts to educate and uplift our community, serve as a true inspiration to us all. Through his groundbreaking work, he has not only advanced our understanding of the physical world but also demonstrated the limitless potential that lies within our community. His contributions remind us that education, passion, and hard work can make an incredible difference in the world.

Dr. Olujimi Adejo studied Physics in his first degree, and also had Physics for his Masters.. His doctoral research was also in Physics.
He is a member, Institute of Physics, United Kingdom (UK); Member, Nigerian Union of Radio Science; Member, Institute of Science Technology, UK; Member Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineering; and Member Nigerian Institute of Physics.
He is a philanthropist and educator who has contributed to the growth and development of his community, Imota in lkorodu division, where he hails from. His impact in educational growth and community services is immeasurable.
